Synopsis: This program will feature Rob Hall, Chair, Manatee County Democratic LBGTQ+.
Speaker Bio: Rob Hall and his husband, Michael Freeman, moved to the Sarasota/-Bradenton area in June 2020. He joined the Manatee LGBTQ+ Democratic Caucus the following year, was elected Vice Chair of Operations in 2022, and assumed the post of Chair in June 2023 following the planned resignation of the officeholder. He is a member of the Manatee County Democratic Party Executive Committee, the Florida LGBTQ+ Democratic Caucus, and the Manatee County League of Women Voters.
Before retiring to Florida, Rob served from 2014 to 2021 as a federal Administrative Judge on the Board of Indian Appeals, an appellate court within the US Department of the Interior. He was also an Assistant Regional Solicitor for Indian Affairs in the Southwest Region for many years and served as Acting Assistant Solicitor in the Division of Indian Affairs in Washington DC. Prior to his legal career, Rob worked for over 20 years as an institutional specialist for various entities, including the United States Agency for International Development, the World Bank, and UNDP. He worked in over a dozen countries throughout Africa, and in the Russian Federation and various countries in the Caribbean.
